TIP OF THE WEEK

Did you know...?

According to a Liberty Mutual Research Center study of 720 physicians, occupational medicine physicians are less likely to order diagnostic studies and more likely to choose treatment protocols that promote activity than other types of physicians who treated work injuries.  OHS-COMPCARE believes that optimizing an individual's work activities after an injury expedites and improves their overall recovery.  Our occupational physicians are trained to provide duty status recommendations that keep the employee safe, and physically engaged in the workplace.  Less than 1% of our patients are actually taken off work.  We further appreciate the importance of immediate feedback to the employer about the duty status of an injured employee so in addition to talking with the physician, you can have your work status report, emailed or faxed to your worksite.
