Missouri Workers' Compensation Legislative Update:
TO: EMPLOYERS and GROUP TRUSTS who SELF-INSURE for WORKERS' COMPENSATION in MISSOURI
FROM: Representative Steve Hunter, Chair, Second Injury Fund Committee
RE: Hearings to receive information on the pending insolvency of the Second Injury Fund from Employers and Group Trusts who Self-Insure for Workers' Compensation.
WHAT: Two meetings of the Second Injury Fund Committee have been scheduled beginning at 1:00 PM at the State Capitol in Jefferson City in House Hearing Room 7 on Wednesday, February 27 and Wednesday, March 5.
WHY: The purpose of these meetings is for the SIF Committee to receive information concerning the pending insolvency of the Second Injury Fund from EMPLOYERS and GROUP TRUSTS who SELF-INSURE their WORKERS' COMPENSATION obligation in Missouri.
HOW: Information for the SIF Committee may be submitted in person on February 27 or March 5. It may also be submitted by mail, FAX or e-mail to the addresses listed below for Committee Chair, Representative Steve Hunter.
Please note: Those employers or representatives of a group trust wishing to present information in person should notify Representative Hunter's office at least one day prior to the February 27 or March 5 hearings.
