Take Hwy. 291 to 40 Hwy.
Drive east on 40 Hwy. to first stop light, which is Valley View Parkway.
Turn North on Valley View Parkway and take to E. Eastland Center Court.
OHS-COMPCARE is located in the Eastland Center Court next door to Medical Imaging. There is plenty of free parking close to the door.
Clinical Facility Personnel
Facility Medical Manager:
H.C. Palmer Jr. M.D. FACSM
Dr. Palmer is an aggressive workers' compensation medical manager
who has served OHS-COMPCARE clients for nearly 10 years. Dr. Palmer
applies his more than 20 years of sports medicine experience and
treats injured workers like "industrial athletes." He is a graduate
of the University of Kansas School of Medicine and is residency-trained
in internal medicine. Dr. Palmer is well known for strong client
relations and communications.
Walter Dean, M.D.
Dr. Dean is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.
He has more than 30 years experience as a Family Practice Physician and
5 years experience in urgent care. Dr. Dean is a graduate of the University
of Iowa College of Medicine. He also completed a post graduate family
practice residency at Iowa Lutheran Hospital. Dr. Dean is a Fellow with
the American Academy of Family Practice, and a professional member of the
Northwest Missouri Medical Society and the Missouri State Medical Association.
Dr. Dean has been with OHS-COMPCARE since 2004.
Clinical Facility Manager:
Pamela Hirshberg, MBA, Regional Operations Administrator
Pam Hirshberg has over 20 years of experience in occupational medicine.
Her experience as a vocational rehabilitation counselor and as a medical
case manager served her well as she developed a comprehensive occupational
health program in our neighboring state of Iowa. Pam has been active in the
National Association of Occupational Health Professionals for over two
decades and is committed to health and safety in the workplace.
P.J. Hallgrimson M.D. 5pm-10pm
After Hours Now Available
Dr. Hallgrimson has more than 25 years of experience practicing
medicine, including more than five years of occupational medicine
experience and nearly 10 years in emergency medicine. He is a graduate
of the University of Nebraska College of Medicine. Dr. Hallgrimson
has completed residency course work in industrial medicine, illegal
drug use and disability evaluations. He has been serving OHS-COMPCARE
clients for nearly 3 years and is responsible for patient care and
medical case management.

After Hours Injury Care
Statistics show that cases that are aggressively managed from
the day of the injury resolve faster and cost less and are less
likely to involve litigation. Let the OHS-COMPCARE on-call physician
help you manage those injuries from the start. For after hours emergencies,
contact the clinical facility and ask for the physician on call
to be paged.

OHS-COMPCARE works directly with Centerpoint Medical Center
to deliver 24 hour service to the community employers. When you
arrive at the emergency department, inform the physician that you
are a client of OHS-COMPCARE. If you have not already done so, instruct
the physician to contact on-call physician. The OHS-COMPCARE physician
will assist the emergency room physician in managing issues like
appropriate duty status, use of medications in the workplace, referrals
and follow up care.
After Hours Drug Screens
For after hours drug screens, call the clinical facility and ask
for the after hours collector to be paged. The collector will go
on-site to an employer's campus or meet the patient at the emergency
department.
