Directions to the Clinic:
Take Hwy. 291 to 40 Hwy.
Drive east on 40 Hwy. to first stop light, which is Valley View Parkway.
Turn North on Valley View Parkway and take to E. Eastland Center Court.
OHS-COMPCARE is located in the Eastland Center Court next door to Medical Imaging. There is plenty of free parking close to the door.

Clinical Facility Personnel

Facility Medical Manager:
Lynn A. Curtis, M.D.
Dr. Curtis completed his undergraduate studies at Dartmouth College then attended medical school at Boston University School of Medicine. He completed residencies in Pediatrics at the University of Colorado and University of Pennsylvania Children’s Hospital. Dr. Curtis also completed a residency in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at Tufts New England Medical Center. He has been a consultant in Rehabilitation Medicine since 1981. Dr. Curtis has approximately 10 years experience practicing medicine in the occupational medicine field. He is Board Certified with the American Academy of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, American Board of Independent Medical Examiners and is certified in Spinal Cord Injury Medicine. Dr. Curtis joined OHS-COMPCARE at the beginning of 2011.

Harriet Schutter, FNP-C
Ms. Schutter is a Registered Nurse Practitioner in Kansas and Missouri. She completed her undergraduate studies at Creighton University and her Nurse Practitioner studies at Fort Hayes State University. Ms. Schutter was an RN in ICU for 8 years before completing her Nurse Practitioner training. She has been practicing as a Nurse Practitioner for approximately 5 years. Ms. Schutter joined OHS-COMPCARE at the beginning of 2011.

Clinical Facility Supervisors:
Heather Maynard, BS
Ms. Maynard has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice from Missouri Southern State University. Ms. Maynard has more than 5 years experience in management. She is a Clinical Facility Supervisor for our Independence facility. Ms. Maynard joined OHS-COMPCARE in 2010.

Erin Oneal, RT (R)
Ms. Oneal is a 2008 graduate from Colorado Technical University with an Associates Degree in Radiological Science. Ms. Oneal is also cross trained in CT and has completed internships in an orthopedic setting and hospital setting. She is a Clinical Facility Supervisor for our Independence facility. Ms. Oneal joined OHS-COMPCARE in 2010.

P.J. Hallgrimson M.D.   5pm-9pm
After Hours Now Available
Dr. Hallgrimson has more than 25 years of experience practicing medicine, including more than five years of occupational medicine experience and nearly 10 years in emergency medicine. He is a graduate of the University of Nebraska College of Medicine. Dr. Hallgrimson has completed residency course work in industrial medicine, illegal drug use and disability evaluations. He has been serving OHS-COMPCARE clients for nearly 3 years and is responsible for patient care and medical case management.

After Hours Injury Care
OHS-COMPCARE - Independence location is open until 9pm Monday through Friday
Statistics show that cases that are aggressively managed from the day of the injury resolve faster and cost less and are less likely to involve litigation. Let the OHS-COMPCARE on-call physician help you manage those injuries from the start. For after hours imjuries, contact the clinical facility and ask for the physician on call to be paged.
For life or limb threatening emergencies call 911 or proceed to the nearest emergency room then contact the OHS-COMPCARE physician on-call through the answering service by calling any of our clinical facility phone numbers.

After Hours Drug Screens
For after hours drug screens, call the clinical facility and ask for the after hours collector to be paged. The collector will go on-site to an employer's campus or meet the patient at the emergency department.
