the day of the injury resolve faster and cost less and are less
likely to involve litigation. Let the OHS-COMPCARE on-call physician
help you manage those injuries from the start. For after hours emergencies,
contact the clinical facility and ask for the physician on call
to be paged.
Preferred Emergency Room
St. Mary's Hospital
201 W. R.D. Mize Rd
Blue Springs, MO
816-228-5900
OHS-COMPCARE works directly with St. Mary's Hospital to deliver
24 hour service to the community employers. When you arrive at the
emergency department, inform the physician that you are a client
of OHS-COMPCARE. If you have not already done so, instruct the physician
to contact on-call physician. The OHS-COMPCARE physician will assist
the emergency room physician in managing issues like appropriate
duty status, use of medications in the workplace, referrals and
follow up care. St. Mary's offers drug testing in their emergency
room so you do not need to contact the OHS-COMPCARE collector.
After Hours Drug Screens
For after hours drug screens, call the clinical facility and ask
for the after hours collector to be paged. The collector will go
on-site to an employer's campus or meet the patient at the emergency
department.
